Miyoshi Price

Miyoshi Price is a native of Inglewood, California, the "City of Champions." Price received early admission into the University of California Santa Barbara and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies.

Price has consistently demonstrated her commitment to her community throughout her journey. Under the leadership of Councilmember Bernard Parks, she worked tirelessly to improve public school education. During her collegiate career, Price invested significant time learning how to direct, write stories, and understand the history of cinematography and production. Her dedication was evident when she produced a mini-documentary for her study abroad program in Italy.

In 2015, Price's hard work and dedication were recognized when she received the Vice-Chancellor Award and earned her degree. She then embarked on a successful career, starting with content development for Crystal Cruises and transitioning into television, where she quickly learned overnight programming at CBS Interactive. As an Entertainer for the LA Clippers, she had the opportunity to connect with thousands of people every home game. Her career flourished as she dedicated seven years to the NFL Network, serving as the Media Asset Manager.

When the COVID pandemic hit the world, Price saw an opportunity to step into her passion for journalism. As the world began to open up in 2022, she transitioned from behind the camera. Her journalism career took off at the ABC affiliate KESQ News Channel 3 in the Coachella Valley in California, where she was recognized with her first Emmy Nomination for her role in team coverage of Tropical Storm Hilary.

Price's commitment to community empowerment is further demonstrated in her role as the Vice President of Legacy Ladies Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of disenfranchised girls. Through their academic programs, they foster character, confidence, and grace. This organization played a pivotal role in Price's college journey, providing her with a scholarship. Now, she is paying it forward, raising thousands of dollars for girls like her through this organization.

Now, she is Fox 4's Fort Myers Community Correspondent. Price says she has "traded her West Coast Palm trees for East Coast Palm trees" and couldn't be more honored to serve the Southwest Florida community.
